Are you sure you know all about affiliate marketing? We’re going to show you that it still can surprise you!

In this article, we’ve collected seven uncommon facts about affiliate marketing that will be interesting and useful to affiliates of any level!

Let’s go!

1. Nigeria is the world’s leader in “affiliate marketing” internet search query

For several years now, the Nigerian market has shown an active growth in the popularity of online sports betting, which indicates the digitalization of the population and the opportunity for affiliates to access this GEO.

But what many affs don’t know is that over the past year, the locals have begun to actively engage  in the niche. Their interest has increased by 63% compared to March 2021, according to Google Trends. Moreover, this country leads in the number of search queries for “affiliate marketing” in two years worldwide.

2. 67% of affiliates are newbies

There is a growing demand for beginners, both from marketers offering various courses on iGaming,

сryрtо, and other verticals and affiliate networks that provide favorable conditions for starting.

3. It all began with adult

At the beginning of the 2000s, the Internet was young and let adult content be quite accessible. At that time, besides  a huge number of viruses per a bit, the first adult sites had their  affiliate programs (not the common CPA networks of today’s), which offered affiliates rewards for referred clients.

4. CPA marketing accounts for 16% of global e-commerce sales

According to the INSIDER, the niche generates about 16% of e-commerce sales worldwide. This means that 1 out of 10 e-commerce sales in the world is made due to the CPA marketing.

5. 40% of online marketers consider affiliate marketing skills important

According to BloggingX statistics, 40% of internet marketers believe that CPA marketing skills are essential for anyone who wants to build an online career today. Others on the must-have list are mobile marketing, digital strategy, and integration planning.

6. Ads reflecting sexual orientation have better conversion rates

The statistics of Ipsos show that 71% of LGBTQ consumers are more likely to interact with online ads that reflect their sexual orientation.  That’s especially relevant for the dating offers.

7. Using Google Chrome affects CPA Marketing

According to Atlas VPN, as of April 2021, Google Chrome had 3 billion users, which is 41% of the world’s population.

This means that any change in the company policy (such as Google’s decision to use the Topics API as a replacement for cookies in 2022) could affect millions of industries and businesses, especially digital ones such as CPA marketing.

These are our Top-7 facts about affiliate marketing. What interesting facts about the niche do you know? Share them in the comments! 🙂

Heya there!

In the United States, November is the time for the Christmas shopping frenzy, especially when it comes to Black Friday and Cyber Monday!

It begins the day after Thanksgiving, but hungry-for-sales merchants start promotional campaigns in early November.

💲🔥💲 Join this hot seasonal stream of fine income with our video guide! 💲🔥💲

If it fits you more, you can read the text version of the overview.

eCommerce sales in 2020-2021

Total holiday online sales in 2020 were 186 billion dollars, mostly spent on Cyber Monday. The Cyber Monday became the biggest online shopping day in U.S. history, reaching around $10.8 billion in online sales.

There are predicted 2021’s sales in $ billions by day:

Cyber Monday $11.38

Black Friday$9.53

Thanksgiving $5.43

Sunday$5.04

Small Business Saturday$5.02

Why do Americans go on a shopping spree during the holiday season?

🤪 Opportunity to get Christmas shopping done at a discount (the most suitable option for such a holiday combo!)

🤪 Irrationally purchases when there is time pressure (the pressure itself makes people act fast and unconsciously in most cases)

🤪 Fear of losing out on big-ticket items due to limited quantities in stock (the thought of losing an opportunity to save a great deal of money make shoppers go really crazy)

🤪 Competition makes the hunt for purchases even more enjoyable (we’re all genetically programmed to be hunters. And people chiefly do love games).

Early promotion as an extra marketing push

During the 2020 holiday, retailers launched the early promotion of online deals, convincing shoppers to buy earlier and faster due to shipping delays and limited stock

It’s an efficient ploy to get more sales.

This year, marketers are threatening customers that they will try their luck with the availability of an item on Cyber 5, in case they don’t buy it beforehand.

Hi there, affiliates!

We keep up discovering 🌏 Southeast Asia. Nice to be your guide again! Ready to set off for 🇲🇾 Malaysia

During our little CPA overview, you will learn the cultural peculiarities of Malaysian people and some current trends to ease the process of designing creative materials.  Also, we’ll share not only our hints with you! Tshh… We have insider tips from a local advertiser that will be a perfect match to what we’re going to tell you.

The best sources, taboo topics, gift-giving holidays, shopping behavior, and many more are awaiting you in the next several minutes! Don’t just scroll through the creative pairs for the offers prepared for you, in case you want to benefit from this GEO here and now. Planning to go big in Malaysia? Find a special bonus from our partner – MGID next to the creative pairs!

Here we go!

Life through Media

Malaysian people like Indian serials (but not only!), so you can use images of Indian people, and peep for scenarios for your creatives as well 🙂

What’s more, Malaysians like following political news along with bloggers involved in politics. For instance, here are the popular search queries to “blog” of July 2021.

Reformasi means “Reform”. One political blogger is mentioned in “Related topics” along with 2 politics-related topics.  3 political blogs, as well as 1 political news portal, are mentioned in “Related queries”.

In general, news portals are stably being among the top-visited sites, since natives prefer to move with the latest updates in the country.

The tendency for searching political news (berita politik in Indonesian) as well as news (berita) remains high, as we see it from the stats.

Malaysian people

The people of Malaysia are a mosaic of Chinese, Indian, and native Malay influences. Thus, there is a cultural mix where each culture intermingles with one another, not losing its own values.

The composition of values has its roots in the religious mix. Malaysians love their relatives and family as well as show much respect to elders. Malaysians feel a kinship with other members of family or community in general. They have a strong belief in God and follow cultural traditions. You can gently apply it to your campaigns.

Gift giving in Malaysia is usually reserved between friends. Here is a holiday calendar to adjust your special promos and campaigns to:

The neighborhood of different religions has contributed to the emergence of taboos reflecting the religious traditions. Try to consider them all when making creative material.

1. In 2016, the Malaysian government banned yellow clothing after the “yellow T-shirts” protests in Kuala Lumpur. Now, wearing yellow can lead to an arrest on suspicion of protesting the government.

2. These animals deem dirty in the Islamic religion.

3. In accordance with Islamic principles, the left hand is considered unclean because of reserving for cleansing the body and mustn’t be used alone.

Malaysian health

At the first sight, Malaysians may be considered a nation that follows healthful habits: the majority of them don’t skip breakfasts, drink a lot of water, and do exercises.

However, some Malaysians are smokers and excessive consumers of alcohol and unhealthy food. Drinking alcohol is prohibited for Malaysian Muslims by law. The others are free to consume it.

A public health institute found out that 45.8 per cent of Malaysian drinkers consume excessive alcohol. According to WHО, liver cirrhosis and cancer are common deaths caused by alcohol misuse in Malaysia.

For example, in Europe, the countries with at least 1 monthly episode of heavy drinking are Denmark (38%), Romania (35%), and Luxembourg (34%).

What’s else?

Being a part of the modern digital world, the majority of the nation prefers to google symptoms instead of visiting a doctor. However, they are not going to reject help. Many affirm that they are ready to get guidance and motivation to sustain healthy behaviors.

Malaysia is rich in natural and herbal resources. It’s the country where the ancient traditional medicine ingredients can be used in diverse products now.

Plastic surgery is affordable for rich Malaysian people, while others prefer to use natural cosmetics or products as a means for solving some appeared body imperfections. Malaysian consumers become too careful when they know little of a product’s composition of ingredients. This mainly concerns Beauty products

💡 Tip: Emphasize a natural composition of a product in your creative materials, since it increases the trustworthiness of the product. Such products seem more habitual and familiar to the natives concerned about product quality. Malaysians favor natural ingredients, and seeing it in the compositions of a product will definitely have a positive impact on a buying decision process.

Nutra consumers in Malaysia

In 2020, Rakuten Insight surveyed  6,081 Malaysian respondents aged 16 years and older to find out how often they take dietary supplements or nutraceuticals. 63% of the respondents stated that they took dietary supplements on a daily basis. 81% of respondents aged 55+ are the major daily consumers of dietary supplements. What supplements did they mean? Herbal substances, minerals, or vitamins, taken to improve health.

Apart from taking dietary supplements, Malaysian people like taking care of the body.

They really do! In the latest overview of the South Asian GEOs, we also talked about the popularity of the sector among Malaysian people.

Making creatives

There is one crucial point you must know about before launching campaigns for offers. Nutra products aren’t medicines or preventive treatments, so don’t forget to avoid such statements in creative materials and put a disclaimer telling this to customers. Advertising for true medications is under the authority of Ministry of Health.

Tips:

💡 You can use Malay/English + Chinese in your campaigns to broaden the audience reach.

Bahasa Malaysia is the official language spoken in the country, and English is widely spoken in Malaysia (50-60 percent of the population). English is very commonly spoken in Kuala Lumpur and other major cities, and less spoken in rural areas and the east island of the country.

💡 Show how to use a product in your creative material, and add essential and clear information on the product. Discounts can help you attract the attention of would-be customers since they drive the attention of Malaysian people.

💡 Infographics and product reviews can be helpful in making a decision for a purchase. Also, Malaysians rely on articles, blogs, and videos.

Running traffic in Malaysia

Now let’s talk about sources and types of traffic that can be quite helpful in reaching the local audience. Some sources are popular among users, some – among affiliates. Try all of them to make your own efficient traffic recipe.

By the way, note that Malaysians are social media lovers! With 28 million Internet users (85% of the population), almost all of them (!)  are social media users.

Social media advertising can really increase the number of sales in Malaysia and drive more traffic to your page. 66% of Malaysians start thinking of making a purchase while surfing social media.

Here are 6 platforms visited by Malaysians in the period of August 2020 – August 2021. The most visited platforms were Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter.

Advertising on Instagram is more expensive than on Facebook, and promoting offers via Google Ads can be tough. Some of our affiliates get nice results with this source, but we can’t promise for sure that the digits in your stat will be the same (but there is always a chance for a try!).

Alas, Google Ads has a drawback that you need to consider before starting a campaign there. It’s the ad cost. What’s more, product certificates are required at a time. By the way, almost all of the above-mentioned offers have certificates. In case you want to try the source, reach out to your manager for info.

A satisfying result of a campaign depends on the right choice of traffic type. Some sources are quite suitable for certain verticals, and the data varies from GEO to GEO.

And now here comes a hot fact! One of the most popular search queries in Malaysia is – Indian p*rn. Such websites contain some Аdult and Dating banners, so you can try your luck in promoting Аdult products as an extra source for them.

Moreover, targeting certain cities/states can increase the performance of your campaign. Note the highly convertible states and one city below, according to the stats of our advertiser:

📍 Kuala Lumpur

📍 Selangor

📍 Sabah

📍 Sarawak

But anyway, to make your campaign productive, read attentively an advertiser’s recommendations/requirements and ask your manager for advice!

Our informative little trip is coming to the end. Now you are more than ready to open the door to the Malaysian market. With the high internet penetration and love for Nutra products, that exotic GEO is a fine point to scale up your affiliate revenue.

See ya at the next exotic CPA expedition!

What is India? It’s a vast territory of 32,87,263 sq. km, 36 geographical entities, and a large population ranked 2nd in the world’s population list (after China). Top it all off with the Digital India programme aimed at increasing Internet services, and we get a spicy CPA GEO that is a fruitful lead garden for affiliate Nutra campaigns.

Let’s have a detailed digital-angle look at India as a source of traffic for Nutra offers. Here’s a little task for you – while surfing the article, find out the list of offers to start the roaring Indian Nutra experience fast and easy (surely, in case you see all the benefits of the GEO!).

India in a nutshell

Biggest megalopolises: Mumbai, Delhi, and Bengaluru

Time zone: GMT + 05:30

Population: 1,388,225,942

  • 35.0% of the population is urban (483,098,640 people in 2020)
  • Life expectancy is 70.42 years

Languages: 17 major languages, 844 dialects. Hindi is the first official language followed by English, the secondary one

Religions:
Hinduism (80%) and the Muslim (10%) with some Buddhists, Christians, Sikhs, Parsees, and Jains

Currency: Indian rupee (₹)

Per capita net national income 2020: 135 thousand rupees ($1851.142)

E-commerce market

Expecting you this or not, but the revenue in the Indian eCommerce market is expected to reach $55,099 million in 2021.

There are key propelling factors: increasing incomes of consumers and fast internet penetration, especially smartphone one. For August 2020, the total internet connections constitute 760 million with 61% connections from urban areas. Most of the rural parts have internet access as well.

80% of online shoppers use their smartphones to make purchases and their number is increasing along with the number of mobile phone owners.

https://www.ecomkeeda.com/indian-ecommerce-market-trends/

Everyone remembers the hard pandemic 2020 that gave a new rise to online shopping, especially to some categories of goods including beauty products. India wasn’t an exception. The consumer pool has seen a two-fold increase over the initial three pandemic months of  2020 from 22% of active users to 42%, 50% of them came from Tier-1 (Chennai, New Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, and others) and Tier-2 (Ahmedabad, Surat, Pune, and Jaipur and others) Indian cities.

Let’s convert this into rough figures. Considering 329 million digital buyers detected in 2020, 22% of them were approximately 72.3 million internet users whose quantity increased up to 138.2 million (42%) later. 50% that came from large Indian cities translates to 69,1 million internet users.

6,000 people were surveyed on their shopping patterns in the last three months in July 2020

During the lockdown, the online sales statistics had a real blast as the Internet was the only source to make purchases. Moreover, most users still don’t want to reject the possibility of easy and convenient online shopping (generally speaking, the pandemic isn’t over yet), and this tendency keeps being up-to-date.

Want to try it out yourself right away? Take a look at these Beauty offers:

8286 Varikostop – IN (payout: $6, аpproval rate:48%)

26123 Psolixir Cream – IN ($5.5, 36.40%)

6498 Goji cream – IN ($5.5, 30%)

Hint of AdCombo: Keep these regions in mind while targeting users. The following cities are recommended as the better ones for getting leads (based on our statistics):

📍 Delhi NCR

📍 Pune

📍 Thane

📍 Mumbai

📍 Bengaluru

📍 Hyderabad

📍 Lucknow

📍 Ahmedabad

📍 Surat

E-commerce market trends

We recommend paying attention to the 3 Indian e-commerce trends when setting up campaigns:

Beauty & Personal Care market

What does it consist of? Medical and pharmaceutical products, cosmetics, cleaning, care and beauty products, nutritions, and medical products like blood pressure monitors form this market segment. There are five key categories of cosmetics and beauty products: body care, face care, hair care, hand care, and color cosmetics.

The BPC market is supposed to get a $26,853 m revenue this year (2021) with an average per capita spend of $19.27.  It converts into 48.74% of the overall Indian market revenue expected in 2021.

It is experiencing constant gradual growth and, for now, it’s estimated to be worth $25.9 billion. This isn’t the limit since the Indian shoppers’ per capita expenditures on beauty products are increasing with the sector’s growth. The BPC market is predicted to reach $32.7 billion by 2023 and occupy 46% of the overall Indian market.

Internet users’ peculiarities

The rural Internet popularity has almost caught up with the urban one in the number of active users due to the lasting digital expansion. Nevertheless, urban internet users are more likely to spend more time on Internet surfing. Indian women utilize the Internet less than males, and the gender gap, as of September 2019, is fairly wide in rural areas of India.

Note the following cities that have a high concentration of female users: Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Delhi. Also, the older population evidently has a low level of Internet usage.

Social Media, Mobile Apps & Websites usage (aka Indian traffic sources)

In 2020, WhatsApp led the top mobile traffic sources chart, having surpassed Facebook that was ranked second. 96% of Indians primarily utilize the app for daily communication.

WhatsApp had a pool of 400 million users from India in 2020 and implemented its payment platform approved by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) in the country in February 2020. Facebook had 260 million active users all over India with a lot of traffic came from Mumbai, Delhi, and Bengaluru

It’s needed to be noted that Instagram took 8th place despite being popular globally. At the start of 2020, Instagram had 80 million Indian people using it, most of them were youths aged 18-24.

Let’s study the traffic charts of late. In January 2021 the following sites and figures were recorded:

https://www.similarweb.com/top-websites/india/
https://gs.statcounter.com/social-media-stats/all/india

The statistic shows that generally the most Indian traffic came to:

  1. Facebook
  2. YouTube
  3. Pinterest
  4. Google

So pick the traffic sources accordingly with the eye kept on types of traffic:

Facebook received mostly mobile and tablet traffic while desktop-traffic users preferred visiting Pinterest. The users of all traffic types favor YouTube that, as reported in January 2020, had 265 million active users across India. Here is one more mark: 95% of the YouTube content was both Indian and Bengali videos.

By the way, Pinterest can be a fine source of getting huge traffic even for free! Before your eyes start shining, we should make you understand that free traffic sources are usually overloaded which means you will face a feed of affiliate rivals there. Anyway, if you up for trying, we got a quite helpful article for you – CPA campaign without investments 2.0.

Taking-off Indian mobile traffic sources

NB: the app isn’t available for foreigners, VPN is recommended.

Vero

Not an Indian-made app but also popular with the locals. 1 million times the app has been downloaded in total. Vero has no ad-options and doesn’t use any algorithms for showcasing the content. The content can be shared with close friends, friends, acquaintances, and followers.

Watching out for a strategy

Converting offers are part of  success of promoting offers in India. The other part stands for the right strategy, or, the ways on how to get the Indian audience impressed.

🔴 Red-light images

First, it’s very important to determine what pics must be eliminated from your creative ideas.

  • National flag
  • Photos of healthcare specialists

🟡 Yellow-light images

Yeah, there is such a kind of photos. What to do with it? The snaps below are allowed, but they mustn’t be insulting or gravely violate laws or policies.
We don’t give advice, we’re just telling you about a possible option of using them.

  • Hindu Goddesses
  • Sacred Animals
  • Celebrities (btw, Indians tend to greatly rely on their endorsement of a brand)

🟢 Green-light images

The snaps of this type are allowed in advertising and, what’s more, recommended being used in it:

  • Local or South Asian people

Creative-making techniques

You know perfectly that motivational CTA works its excellent results. A text put in your creative can make your would-be lead stick to an ad or bounce off it. This also concerns the rest elements of a creative. Look through some useful techniques for designing your creative material for the Indian market.

  1. Promotional claim. “Buy 1, get 1” – which means a customer will get an extra item after buying the same one;

  2. Public experience. “Hundreds of customers have already seen the effect”, why don’t a user become a happy customer too?

  3. Bright colors. Use them to drag Indians’ attention;

  4. Facts or Figures. “– 10 years/kilos with/in …”  They can be persuasive only when they are rational;

  5. Deceiving yet nice statement. “No wrinkles in 1 minute”. Although everyone understands that it’s false, people get the main idea of your product at once;

  6. Life involvement. Your ad should give solutions to the common people’s problems at the first touch;

  7. Metaphorical solution. Sometimes it’s better to give a clue to a solution in an imaginary or even a bit funny way.

Sum up

Wide audience coverage possible thanks to the digitalization that India has been experiencing for 5 years, the growing Beauty and Healthcare market, many new users started shopping online make India the sweet territory to step in for collecting leads.

Affordable ad cost makes it even sweeter! Why wait? Grab the offers and discover Indian GEO beyond the article (but with the help of it)!

Sounds exotic, doesn’t it? Saudi Arabia is a young, but very prospective market. The first thing you need to know about the Arabian market is that the competition level is rather low there. However, the prospects of working with Middle Eastern countries often evoke associations with numerous religious and cultural stereotypes of the Arab countries, which does not make it easier to work with the Middle Eastern market, but, and, require a lot of time and effort to be spent before launching a campaign.

If you’re ready to broaden your horizons and not afraid of conquering a new GEO, we advise you to read this article up to the end. There is a bonus hidden in this article – don’t miss a chance to find the profitable creative pairs

Let’s go.

Here is some basic wiki info about Saudi Arabia:

Saudi Arabia, officially the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is a country in Western Asia constituting the bulk of the Arabian Peninsula.

Official language: Arabic

Population: 34 218 169

Currency: Saudi Riyal

Religion: Sunni Islam

Average age: 30 years

Now let’s go on to learn the key features and specifics of marketing in Saudi Arabia you need to know in order not to spoil the whole campaign at the initial stages.

First, it is worth noting the high online activity of the Saudis.
Let’s see the statistics on the E-commerce market and online shopping.

All Arab countries are distinguished by their reverent attitude towards religion. Here comes the first main advice: get acknowledged with cultural and religious aspects and nuances of the GEO. This rule concerns any other Middle-Eastern destination). For example, advertisements on the East market often refer to the inherent Eastern cultural values: collectivism, spirituality, religiosity, the cult of nature, respect for ancestors, and older generations.

When working with Saudi Arabia, it is worth adhering to the following simple, but very important rules:

  1. Use the culture-oriented strategy when designing your creative materials.

  2. Avoid pics and inscriptions that can insult the values of the Muslim religion. Do not use the green color as it is considered to be “the holy color of the prophets” and pics of dogs as they are considered to be “dirty animals”. References to the supernatural can be interpreted as equating God, as well as the words “create” and “greatest” – can be used only to describe something relating to God.

  3. Use images of Arab people in your creatives. But do it carefully: remember that they should be dressed, not naked:  nudity is strictly prohibited to use in advertisements in Saudi Arabia. The only parts of the body that can be depicted uncovered in creatives are face, hands, and feet. By the way, if you run a weight-loss ad campaign, it’s allowed to show images of the waist, but without erotic context.

  4. The best creative with high CR is made in the native language of the GEO – it’s an axiom. Localize prelanders, landing pages, and creatives in Arabic – it is easy to do with the built-in translation service in AdCombo.

  5. Provide accurate information about a product and its USPs. Be sure to show the product itself and state a result of its use – this will increase the level of trust of a would-be customer.

  6. And do not forget to consult with your manager about the features of a certain offer and a GEO – he/she can always give you some valuable advice.

The Arabic market is diverse, but nutra offers are always in high demand, specifically among women. Separately it is worth mentioning the popularity of weight-loss treatments – they are even more popular than beauty products. Why? Influenced by westernization and urbanization, food and lifestyle habits of the local population in Saudi Arabia have changed over the past few decades.
According to the IMARC Group research, in 2019, the market for weight-loss goods and services in Saudi Arabia was estimated by $ 1.180 million. In Saudi Arabia, this niche is expanding significantly due to the growing rates of obesity among the population of the country. According to the official statistics for 2019, over 40% of Saudis are obese. Most cases are caused by low levels of physical activity and inappropriate eating habits. Currently, the country has one of the highest obesity rates in the world, with the prevalence of obesity among women than men.

Rare CPA network can offer such a lucrative, profitable, and high-converting exotic GEO as Saudi Arabia. We at AdCombo have something to offer to you with attractive payouts:

Offers (Health & Beauty, Diet)

24992 Keto Guru – SA – diet

22435 Flekosteel – SA – joint health

22259 Black Latte – SA – diet

9462 Goji cream – SA – skin

Payouts: $17.5

And here’s the bonus! Take a look at these profitable, high-converting creative pairs:

Requirements: no local celebs on creatives, prelanders, and landing pages.

Target audience: men and women aged 15 to 64.

Reasons to work with nutra offers in Saudi Arabia: Arabs pay very much attention to self-care. It concerns both men and women. Moreover, the dry and hot climate forces them to take special care of the body and skin.

Financial state: Saudis are wealthy. Recently, the employment rate among women has been increasing, consequently, they also have a stable income. Saudi women love to take care of themselves and, according to statistics, spend around $3,800 on beauty products annually.

Preferences: youngsters tend to take care of themselves opting for products that have a beneficial effect not only on beauty but also contribute to the overall health of the body. The Saudis prefer natural ingredients. Products marked “Halal” are especially popular since such products are manufactured in compliance with all necessary Islam requirements.

Traffic sources: Arabs are socially active. Every day they spend much time on the Net surfing through social networks and news sites. Regarding SimilarWeb statistics from July 2020, the leading traffic sources in Saudi Arabia are popular social networks: Google, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. Also, among the top 20 traffic sources, you can find sites rated 18+ (but that’s another story for a separate article;)). Mobile traffic is the most prevailing type of traffic among the other ones.

And, finally, conclusions: The Saudi Arabian market is prospective and profitable. However, it is worth remembering that the challenge of launching campaigns for this GEO  must be taken with special scrupulousness, checking every element on a creative to be in compliance with all the nuances we have discussed in this article. But your effort will definitely pay off.

Let traffic running turn into a profitable Arabic fairy tale for you!

How to run Arabian GEOs https://blog.adcombo.com/run-arabian-geos/ https://blog.adcombo.com/run-arabian-geos/#respond Wed, 14 Nov 2018 15:26:58 +0000 http://adcombo-blog.com/?p=4464 Reading Time: 2 minutes We already did the review at our new GEOs – Lebanon, the UAE, and Jordan. Since those offers were private and some of our affiliates have tested it, we can provide you with some useful info. So, what do you need to know to make a profit?

The first thing affiliates think about is legal problems. There are rumors that Arabian countries have strict laws about advertising and you may have big problems if you will not abide them. Well, Arabian countries do have strong laws but while our team ran the offers, they didn’t have any problems with them. You just need to learn a bit about those countries (and you can get some useful info from our review here).

Many affiliates think that those GEOs need a special approach. That’s not true though 🙂
Actually, you can use your usual creative materials for those countries, there is no need to change it. But if you want to make it as profitable as it can be, we have some tips.

Some local networks don’t allow creative materials with bellies so better use something more abstract. Pictures with skin and stuff like bottles and cans are pretty popular and have a good conversion rate for health and beauty offers. By the way, Goji Cream goes really well there – even though women wear the veils and almost no one sees their faces, they want to look pretty (as any girl does :). Speaking of the text part of banners, better present the information directly. What sort of product it is, how does it help, how much younger or thinner you may look after using it and so on.

In general, there is a lot of traffic – search engines, social networks, you can even try Instagram. But note that accounts are blocked more often and sooner than in other countries. Also, we recommend you to try push-traffic – it works really good with those GEOs. By the way, there are some local networks and they worth trying since they know its market better.

And as long as we’re talking about local “things” – take the details of every country into account. For example, Lebanon has electrical problems and sometimes it affects the conversion rates and traffic in general. And the UAE, for its part, has lots of immigrants and this is why you are free to use creative materials in English 😉

No other network has such offers in these GEOs and you all know what that means – no competition. In addition, they were absolutely private and almost no one ran it yet! So we are glad to say it is a really new market with fresh traffic and there is a new audience that is starved for new content and eye-catching ads 😉
Since we have promised you tips and lifehacks on those GEOs, now we are going to tell you more about these regions.

And we begin with the United Arab Emirates (UAE, Emirates).

The majority of the population in the country are expatriates from other countries so no surprise they use both Arabic and English versions of the country code top-level domain (ccTLD) – .ae (English) and .امارات (Arabic).
And speaking of the popular things – we made a list of the 5 most visited websites in the UAE:

  • Facebook
  • Google
  • Google.ae
  • YouTube
  • Yahoo!

As you can see the majority of these websites aren’t regional websites but global websites with a regional presence.
And what about top 5 regional websites? Let’s see:

  • Google.ae
  • Dubizzle.com
  • Souq.com
  • Gulf News
  • Kooora

News, sport and shop resources – this is what the Arabs are interested in. Also, you may have noticed that they use regional Google site, not a global one.
But despite this, both English and Arabic are used in the UAE. Depending on the specific product you are promoting in the region it’s important to do your keyword research thoroughly in order to utilize your and efforts most effectively.

Also, a couple of insights for you: “UAE” as a keyword has much higher exact match search traffic than “United Arab Emirates” (obviously because it is much easier to type). Another important thing you should know is that the keyword “Dubai” has about 10 times more traffic than the country name (any of the versions).

And now let’s get to our favorite part, we are going to talk about social media.
In the UAE, as in most countries, social networks are becoming a central part of daily life. And, of course, no surprise that Facebook is a leader with 3.4 million UAE users. But then surprisingly goes Linkedin with more than a million users. And the third place is Twitter – 305K active tweeters.

What can we say about mobile marketing there? Go and explore it!
Mobile marketing is one of the most (if not the most) rapidly growing online channels in the UAE. Smartphone usage continues to grow and the country has the lowest cell phone usage cost (out of any Middle East country). Some lower class members of society may not even have regular access to a PC making their smartphone their sole gateway to the Internet. So using mobile banner ads may be a really good idea for your profit 😉

Moving on – Lebanon 🙂

Lebanon (as well as Jordan we will talk about a bit later) is not such an advanced country as UAE when it comes to affiliate marketing and digital marketing in general. Regardless, Lebanon hosts an increasingly tech-savvy population of over 6 million, with a wide-open Internet-ready for digital marketers to make a profit from.

But back to the overview. The ability to target the right consumers for your product efficiently and intelligently depends on a good understanding of the motives, background, and culture of that audience (we hope it’s not news). So let’s quickly see what background this country has.

Lebanon has 6 million people, 95% is Arab and, what is way more important, 40% of the population is Christian. This actually makes Lebanon the country with the greatest amount of Christians in the Middle East. This information can be very useful to publishers both in terms of targeting their Lebanese audience respectfully, and also for the creation of various seasonal ads and promotions.

The official language is Arabic and French is used as the second language. Knowledge of English says about high levels of education.
Lebanon uses only one ccTLD – .lb .

Let’s see what sites they visit most often:

  • Google.com.lb
  • Facebook.com
  • Google.com
  • Youtube.com
  • Live.com

The same situation as the UAE has – the majority of the list aligns to internationally popular websites such as Google and Facebook. Then let’s see top 5 regional websites:

  • Google.com.lb
  • Aljaras.com
  • Bintjbeil.org
  • Greenarea.me
  • Saidaonline.com

Way more interesting, right? Apart from Google.com.lb and Greenarea.me, the sites focus on either entertainment news in the Middle East or on Lebanese current events. It is logical to assume, that there is a high level of interest across the Lebanese population on modern developments, entertainment, and information. Use this trend to target your ads more effectively 😉

Social media and networks. There is no need to say that Facebook holds the first place but it takes the lion’s share of the market – 80.4% of the Lebanon population use the Internet and nearly 78% of that 80.4% use Facebook! Impressive, don’t you agree? Second place is for Twitter and then goes Linkedin.
By the way, Facebook boasts approximately 95.2% of the social media traffic on mobile, with Twitter earning 3% and all other sites (such as Google+, Tumblr, and YouTube) receiving other amounts of traffic.

Speaking of mobile traffic – Lebanon has been lauded as the country in the Middle East that is most quickly going mobile. It was around 25% penetration in 2006 and now it’s about 89-90%!

There is a lot of opportunities for affiliates to make a profit in Lebanon, with the country’s low competition and rising interest in mobile search and online exploration. All you need is be patient and research the local market as thoroughly as you can.

And the last but not less important – Jordan.

Begin with the basic information. Affiliates that are looking for an audience in Jordan should make their ad campaigns bearing in mind the young age of the country and population (about 42.2% is under 15 years old), large Muslim majority in the state and the emerging economy of the country, with the official unemployment rate 13% and the unofficial rate estimated at 30%.

The official language is Arabic, English is a common second language among the middle and upper classes of society. So, publishers that are hoping for high visibility on their ads should focus on creating relevant keywords and ads written in the Arabic language with Arabic characters, with a lesser focus on English.
As well as Lebanon, Jordan has only ccTLD – .jo.

Moving on. The 5 most popular global websites are almost the same as the UAE and Lebanon have. So, it’s more interesting to see the top 10:

  • Google.jo
  • Facebook.com
  • Youtube.com
  • Google.com
  • Garaanews.com
  • Alwakeelnews.com
  • Sarayanews.com
  • Ammonnews.net
  • Alkawnnews.com

The most notable thing about this list is the high prevalence of news websites among the top visited sites there. Jordan is a bit of an anomaly in this way, as most countries typically have more social media pages and search engines (such as Twitter, LinkedIn, and Bing) featuring in their top 10 listing.
You should use this insight to focus your advertisements toward a curious and knowledgeable group with a high interest in the future of their country.

Due to the high Internet and smartphone penetration, Jordanians are very active on social networking sites – 84% of Jordanians use social websites such as Facebook and Twitter with 28% accessing these sites on their phones.
Jordan has the greatest preference towards Facebook in the Middle East but also shows high loyalty to Twitter – with 63% of the country subscribed and checking the site daily – take that into account.

For a country with such a high rate of smartphone and Internet penetration, Jordan’s mobile market seems lacking. Most likely, the largest barrier to a thriving mobile market is the heavy taxation levied on mobile services.
And while competition for the mobile market is currently low in Jordan, the current state of taxes and the economy may mean that the market will not prosper in the future and mobile ads is not really a good idea yet.
So, affiliates may find great success running advertisements in Jordan due to the country’s low competition rates in PPC advertising, high Internet penetration rate, and young and increasingly technical population.

In conclusion of the overviews above, we can say that there are enough weighty reasons to explore this market now. People are only starting to learn this part of advertising. Hooks and tips that don’t work anymore for popular GEOs are totally new and interesting for this audience.

Stay tuned and don’t miss more tips 😉

An offer which was quite a success in Asia and now it is rolling out into the European market. Please welcome Money Amulet!

Few words about this offer (product):

As it is claimed on landing pages Money Amulets were created by ancient monks/witches/elves/dwarves… you name it. And you, my dear customer, have a unique opportunity to buy one of those amulets for a symbolic price of just a few euros. Those amulets will not only give you +1000 points in luck but also they are great for increasing your libido. As always, this is an ultimate cure for all diseases, my friends!

Why Europe?

Originally Money Amulet offer was launched for Thailand and there was a pretty good approval rate of 40%. So, our affiliates started asking their AMs to make this offer available in other regions either. As you might already know AdCombo is a client-oriented company… So we couldn’t resist. And here we go – Money Amulet for European countries!

Let’s see why they are particularly good for all that esoteric stuff.

According to a study conducted in 2017 among citizens of Central and Eastern European countries roughly 1 out of 2 citizens believes in miracles. The survey also finds that many respondents across the region hold beliefs that magic, sorcery or witchcraft can influence people’s lives. Cool?

Second, there is also another article from The Telegraph claiming that Italians spend £5 billion a year on fortune tellers and astrology. “Italians are very susceptible to trying their luck on anything esoteric and they’re extremely superstitious” said Carlo Climati, who wrote a book on superstitious beliefs.

Now that you know all those interesting facts and statistics I hope you understand that Europe is a gold mine for esoteric offers and with Money Amulet all gold can be yours. So, don’t waste your time! Go and grab it! AdCombo’s mailing list is quite long and our blog is quite popular.

So we thought it would be a good idea to renew this tradition – we announce The Netherlands week! And, of course, we begin it with a review at the country.

Let’s see what we got here and how we can use it. The Netherlands is one of the countries whose percentage of the internet usage in Europe is occasionally the highest, namely at 95%. Only Luxembourg, Denmark, and Finland are above it.

Therefore, it is not a big surprise that the online marketing has the highest increase in the whole marketing mix. According to the IAB report, display advertising and mobile are the biggest winners. Display advertising has even captured a market share of 42% and is now on the same level as search advertising. After the process of growth stagnated in 2015, affiliate marketing is now benefiting from the again expanding online market.

One of the reasons to try this GEO is that 81.5% of the local population here shops online. By the way, online shopping jumped by 20% in the last quarter of 2017 in the Netherlands. And this value is continuing to increase, making this country a lucrative market for investment.

Also, The Netherlands has a high download speed average indicating access to quality internet connections. This translates to user ability to view rich media, such as video content, seamlessly. And, so it gives you an opportunity to make really profitable creative materials.

Does that sound good? Totally.

And that’s where AdCombo comes in. We have made a list of the best NL offers for you all – fantastic payouts (one of the highest in Europe) and great high approval rate are at your service. Don’t hesitate – check it out:
