People in Taiwan tend to shop online and in comparison with other countries Taiwanese are among world leaders in terms of e-commerce penetration. More than 60% of people in Taiwan purchase online. This percentage is not far from the world e-commerce leader – UK – with 77%.

Around 40% of people spend more than 30 minutes a day on social media so it can be stated that social media has become a part and parcel of people’s lives in Taiwan; the same percentage of people (40%) are not that social media addicted – they spend from 10 to 30 minutes a day on it.
